What is Domotech Expoconstrucción 2017? It is an experimental space developed for Expoconstrucción 2017 at Corferias, led by CAMACOL, the Colombian construction guild. It is a real-estate project that showcases the characteristics and performance of sustainable construction through different bioclimatic and sustainability strategies.
And the public space? The design and construction of the Domotech public space was carried out with CAMACOL together with students from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. It responds to the Spatial Laboratory 1:1 project proposed by the Project I studio — an approach to the real scale of architecture that responds to the characteristics of the place — and was selected through a competition among students who developed different proposals for ephemeral architecture.
Concept: the selected proposal seeks to generate an architecture in which a set of pallets forms exterior interior spaces, encouraging participation and learning around sustainable construction.
