Mention, Corona Pro Hábitat Award 2011

The second edition of “Architecture in Transit”, entered as “Transit Architecture: renewing the bus fleet + emergency housing”, received a mention in the Architecture category of the 2011 Professional Call of the Corona Pro Hábitat Award, a Colombian prize for housing and habitat research. Its authors were Pablo González Rozo and Gilda Cristina Riveros Bustamante.

The jury met on June 2, 2011 and singled out the project among the unbuilt entries: “It recycles the buses and adapts them for housing, education and health services in emergencies. The idea is very intelligent because it reuses something that is left over and puts it to positive use against catastrophes that happen again and again.”

The project appears in the publication “Premio Corona Pro Hábitat 2009 / 2011” by Organización Corona.
