In 2009, the “Architecture in Transit” proposal received First Prize in the Corona Pro Hábitat competition, an award that recognizes innovative ideas aimed at improving habitat and housing in Colombia.
The proposal sought to reuse the infrastructure of mass-transit buses being taken out of service, adapting them as mobile support units for emergency situations: a research line that 57Uno has continued to develop since then and that years later was reactivated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
