In 2005, the first edition of the “Architecture in Transit” proposal — emergency housing built on reused mass-transit buses — won first place in the ARQUIMET competition.
It was the first recognition of a research line the studio has kept active ever since, with a mention in the 2011 Corona Pro Hábitat Award, an adaptation for the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and a fourth edition after the 2026 earthquake.
