Objective of Resolution 549 of 2015: to establish minimum percentages and water- and energy-saving measures to be achieved in new buildings. The Sustainable Construction Guide for savings is adopted as a tool to guide the implementation of sustainable construction strategies.
It is implemented through the following parameters: 1) mandatory water- and energy-saving percentages according to climate and building type; 2) procedures and tools for monitoring and controlling the implementation of the measures; 3) a gradual application system for the territory according to the number of inhabitants in each municipality; 4) a procedure for certifying the application of the measures; 5) promotion of local incentives for sustainable construction.
Entry into force: from July 2016 in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali and Barranquilla; from July 2017 in the rest of the country’s municipalities.
